REVIEW: Thermasilk, Pantene & Cream Silk

My auntie from the USA sent us new shampoos. It's not like we don't have good shampoos here in the Philippines, but the formulation is different from the USA and Philippines. I guess shampoo brands have different formulations per country because each nationality or race has different hair characteristics due to different factors like weather. As for me, I normally have a kinky frizzy hair (rebonded and now I am letting it grow naturally) and I recently figured that I need to use hair products that will make my hair moisturized.

So anyway, I tried Thermasilk Moisturizing Shampoo for Dry or Damaged hair, also from USA, for about a week. It is a heat activated shampoo which means it is best suited for those who are used to blow-drying their hair or styling their hair; it is also good for those whose hair are used to exposure to the sun or heat. In the Philippines, people take a bath every morning  before going to work/school and at night before going to bed. We wash our hair twice a day everyday, and we go out with our hair still wet or damp. So Thermasilk's
heat activated characteristic is actually good for us Filipino. Thermasilk made my hair smooth and it smelled like I just came from the salon, but Thermasilk was supposed to be a moisturizing shampoo but it actually made my hair hair dry even after I put a hair condition. Smooth but dry!

So I tried PANTENE Medium-Thick Hair Solution for Frizzy to Smooth. It's my second day using it and so far, it gave me good results. I have a medium-thick hair so it really made its way to my hair. I have a frizzy hair and it made my hair really smooth, and not dry! It offered moisture compared to Thermasilk. The only thing missing is the heat activating factored offered by the other brand.

On both shampoos, I used Cream Silk Hair Conditioner reConstruct Damage Control Conditioner. It contains Aloe Nutritive Technology that makes hair softer and less prone to damage and breakage by repairing weak areas and protecting against heat, styling and environment. Among the six types of Cream Silk products, reConstruct (dark blue) is my favourite because it makes my hair moisturized, soft, and smooth. Another thing is that it can protect my hair from the polluted and very warm environment.

Cream Silk reConstruct Damage Control conditioner compliments Pantene best. I think I will be using both everyday from today.
